Emergency appointments are accommodated at Sherwood Centre Dental Clinic. We understand that accidents happen, and when it comes to your oral health you want to find a solution to the problem as soon as possible. Our emergency dental appointments accept issues including, but not limited to:
● Knocked out tooth
Visit our Sherwood Park dental clinic immediately in the case of a knocked out tooth. Try to reinsert the tooth after rinsing it with water and placing it in the empty socket. If you can’t get the tooth back in place, preserve it in milk until your visit.
● Cracks in the tooth
Cracks or chips in your teeth can be a risk for infection. We can repair cracks and chips with fillings or other bonding material. If a large enough piece has broken off then a crown or cap may be required.
Whether caused by cavities, tooth decay, or jaw problems, tooth pain can range from a dull throb to extreme and persistent pain. Continuous, excruciating pain qualifies as a dental emergency and should be seen by one of our dentists in Sherwood Park as soon as possible.
● Loss of dental crown or tooth filling
It’s important to see a dentist as quickly as possible if you’ve lost a crown or filling. We recommend getting an emergency dental appointment within a day or two or sooner if the crown or filling has left a jagged edge that may bother your tongue or gums.
● Bleeding or infection
Infections can worsen over time and cause unnecessary pain and complications. Please call us for more details.
If you are not sure if your issue qualifies as a dental emergency, call us to see when our next available appointment slot is so one of our dentists can see you as soon as possible.
